Looking Inwards This Diwali: Victory of Knowledge Over Ignorance

from the HR Desk @ Mokxa

As millions worldwide celebrate Diwali, it is a good time to reflect on what Diwali means and what it can bring for each one of us in our personal lives.

When Lord Rama returned after 14 years of exile, people lit diyas (clay lamps) and candles to celebrate his long-awaited return with beautiful illumination. Diwali is celebrated across the globe by people belonging to various religions and backgrounds for various different reasons.

As Wikipedia documents: Diwali symbolizes the spiritual 'victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance'.

Diwali literally translates to ‘row of lights’, and has been enthusiastically celebrated time immemorial. This year, the festival has returned with a reflection on how we may illuminate not just our dwellings and offices but also our souls and community.

Diwali is usually celebrated by spending quality time with friends and families. We hand out sweets and goodies to all our loved ones and also light abundant firecrackers to resonate the jubilation in our hearts! However, there are also those among us who take this time to think about those less fortunate ones.

On deep introspection, one can create moments of great happiness by helping others. Be it in teaching, providing resources, or simply helping a cause, such experiences outlast the transient moments of self-gratification. When the differences between one another are minimized, the society is happier, safer, and more meaningful.

This Diwali, let us celebrate and embrace the sparks with our employees, clients, partners, and the community at large. May the most beautiful time of the year be filled with joy, vitality, and boundless opportunities for all of us to reach greater heights.

Besides all the luminosity and fun, Diwali also teaches us to reflect on our lives from the vision of Lord Rama and encourages us to take constructive decisions for the forthcoming year. We look forward to work with the spirit of:

  • Love and forgive

  • Rise and shine

  • Unite and unify

  • Plan and progress

  • Revamp your inner self and find your Mokxa

with all our stakeholders.

Each legend, myth, and story of Diwali carries the significance of good triumphing over evil. Apart from spreading love and positivity around the world, the festival is also about realizing and unleashing the fullest potential within each of us - to be boundless and always embodying the Mokxa spirit.

If you are away from the sights and sounds of festivities, light a diya, sit still, close your eyes, withdraw your senses, focus on the divine light, and illuminate your soul.

The Mokxa team wishes you a Happy Diwali!
